A very good friend of mine told me that it was imperative that I read “The Master Key System.” Now I’m a pretty avid reader, I like to think I have pretty much heard of all the “popular” books of self-awareness, self-achievement, self-help, self-growth, wealth and prosperity, basically all the personal development genre, but this book I had never heard of it. Then my friend says “I bet you have heard of The Secret though…” and true indeed I have. I don’t think one has to even be in the personal development world to have heard of “The Secret.” So my friend goes on to say this book inspired “The Secret” and greats such as Napolean Hill. So needless to say, I had to have a look see.
So I did a google search and found a free ebook download at: http://www.thefreemasterkey.com/
And I will be posting my little two cents about my findings on the book as I read. But I am still trying to get a grasp on how to read the book. The book is broken up into Weeks, Twenty Four to be exact, and each week, there are numbers points that are made. And after each week, there is like a study or exercise to be had, so this should be an interesting ride.
When I read a book, I generally take a few points that hit home to me, or warrant some more thought on for me, and I did the same with this book.
The first one I came across was: “We must “be” before we can “do,” and we can “do”
only to the extent which we “are,” and what we “are” depends upon
what we “think.”
I like this. Its so simple, but yet so powerful and makes awhole lot of sense. There’s a old simple phrase that says “You are what you eat.” And I like to think that this can be put into this sort of same category. Not in the literal sense, of physical food, but if you consume lots of negativity, and speak garbage and trash talk, what’s gonna come about in your life, negativity, garbage, nothing positive. Because that’s all it knows. Its all you have fed it. Think about that.
The second point I like was: “Life is an unfoldment, not an accretion. What comes to us in the world
without is what we already possess in the world within.”
Now I wasn’t quite sure what unfoldment meant, as well as accretion, so I looked them up. Unfoldment was defined as to reveal or display; explain. And accretion is an increase from natural growth. So what I took the sentence to say is Life is a revealed display from what one has created, not something that was just there naturally. Everything we get, good or bad, comes from what we have manifested on the inside. Interesting huh, stop blaming others for your misery. You are the author of your own book.
And thirdly: “Every thought therefore is a cause and every condition an effect; for this
reason it is absolutely essential that you control your thoughts so as to
bring forth only desirable conditions.”
I didn’t need to read anything further into that statement at all. Powerful. Is all I can say.
At the close of the Week One, Chapter, the author asks, more like requires one to begin meditation. Which I found reviting. He suggests its readers to sit still with his/her thoughts for a solid 15-30min interval without interruption, noise or disturbance, even if, your mind begins to wander. Cuz it sure will wander, but the fact that this activity is sort of mandated for one to accomplish before even moving on to answer the questions at the end of the chapter or going onto the next week/chapter, I found refreshing. More intense reads should practice this principle.
I found this chapter extremely for the open minded and strong individual who loves this sort of stuff and is ready for serious change in his/her life. Take this journey with me, and grab your copy as well (http://www.thefreemasterkey.com), and leave me a comment.
